Just 3 1/2
miles north of stinson beach is the bolinas lagoon preserve that
brings a breathtaking view of around 60 species of water and shore
birds. Herons and egrets return each spring to nest in the top of
the redwood trees here. White sandy beaches, crashing waves, and
picnicking sites make this a popular destination for visitors year-round.
The main entrance gate opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at about sunset.
